THQ and Yukes’s UFC Undisputed 2010 – the latest in a string of innovative titles in the franchise – broke new ground with its in-game integration of “Fight Camps,” a feature that lets dedicated players form, play as and track their progress as persistent teams. The feature, built on GameSpy Technology’s “Brigades” team management service, has been a huge hit so far: in the first 4 weeks after launch, UFC players creates over 100,000 active Fight Camps, and participated in more than 2 million ranked and sparring matches across all platforms.
Now, THQ and Yukes have pushed the feature even further: on Friday, July 9, GameSpy Technology and the UFC team deployed the Fight Camps feature to the official UFC 2010 community Website. This unique offering now makes it possible for Fight Camp participants to stay connected to their teams – checking their position on leaderboards, tracking stats, managing rosters, customizing profiles – equally via the Web or in-game.
Congrats to the teams at THQ and Yukes on breaking new ground and on the continued success of UFC Undisputed 2010!
